Indications:
- adjuvant medication in chronic cognitive and neurosensory deficits in the elderly, except Alzheimer's disease and other dementias;
- symptomatic treatment of vertigo;
- adjuvant treatment in dyslexia, in children weighing more than 30 kg (starting at the age of 9);
- cortical myoclonus regardless of etiology.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to piracetam, other pyrrolidone derivatives or any of the excipients of the drug;
Method of administration:
In the therapy of chronic cognitive and neurosensory deficits in the elderly, as in the case of vertigo, the recommended dose is 3 tablets of Piracetam LPH 800 mg per day (2.4 g).
In cortical myoclonus, treatment begins with 6 g piracetam up to 8 g piracetam per day until clinical benefit is obtained. The maximum permissible dose is 20 g piracetam per day.
In dyslexia in children, the dose is 50 mg/kg per day, divided into 3 doses.
The film-coated tablets are administered whole, with water, after a meal.
Composition: The active substance is piracetamum.
