If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
CERVUGID ovule should not be used during pregnancy, unless your doctor considers it absolutely necessary.
CERVUGID ovule should not be used if you are breast-feeding. If your doctor considers that starting treatment is absolutely necessary, breast-feeding will be discontinued.
Method of administration:
Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
If you think that the effect of treatment with CERVUGID is too strong or too weak, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
CERVUGID is administered vaginally. The ovule is inserted deep into the vagina, while you are lying down.
The usual dose is one CERVUGID ovule per day, administered in the evening, before going to bed. The duration of treatment is 12 days.
In the case of ulcerated cervicitis, the treatment will be repeated 1-2 times, until healing, with a 7-day break between administration periods.
In the case of cervicitis and vaginitis accompanied by severe inflammatory diseases of infectious cause (pelvic congestion, metronidazole, pelviperitonitis), your doctor may recommend that you associate CERVUGID with antibiotics administered systemically.
CERVUGID has no relevant use in children.
If administration is necessary in adolescents, the doses are the same as in adult women.
The duration of treatment with CERVUGID will be established by your doctor depending on the periodic assessment of the improvement of the condition being treated.
